Trouble

[Dogsrock!!]

Petalpage looked around her curiously. She'd found a secret passageway in the cliffs, but had tripped and tumbled down here. The woodsy scent filled the air, as she got up and started exploring. She saw a strange flower in front of her, shaped like a bell. She stuck her nose into it, quickly rearing back and swiping at her nose with her paws. That stunk!! She proggressed forwards, veering weel away from the flower as she looked at the odd trees and wilderness. It felt so secluded here, the braches trapping out the sky.

[Mike]

Eagletalon stopped stock-still. There was a scent in the air.....it was a Coyote. and in Howling Tribe territory. Eagletalon snarled. Nobody infringes on my territory he thought savagely. Nose to the ground, he followed the scent of the coyote.

[Dogsrock!!]

Petalpage turned around, starled, as the bracken roustled behind her. Squeaking in surprise, she dashed behind a bush, hoping no one saw her. She would be in big trouble if her mentor ever found out............

[Mike]

Eagletalon burst from the bushes, lip curled in a snarl. "What are you doing on Howling Tribe territoy?" he growled. There was no way for this girl to know that he was tthe Head Knight of Howling Tribe.

[Dogsrock!!]

Petalpage backed away behind the bush, whimpering softly, her tail down. She hated getting in trouble, but she always did. And how did a wolf get here? Realization struck her like horror. This wasn't Yapping Tribe, this was Howling!! She started shivering slightly, oh what had she done now? She'd probably be reported to her leader, maybe even thrown out of her position!!"I-im, s-sorry, but I was......' she faltered, as the giant shadow loomed over her. Her tail was now between her legs, was he going to eat her?

[Mike]

"You were just what?" asked Eagletalon in a low voice, advancing slowly. "Just poking around in our territory? Stealing our prey?" His voice was as sharp as a knife, his tone as cold as the Arctic's frozen waste.

[Dogsrock!!]

She let out a slight yelp of fear, crawling slowly backwards, her stomach brushing the ground in submission as she stared up at the huge wolf. She was shivering from fear, her ears flat on her head; she was too terrified to even reply.

[Mike]

Something about her pitiful position struck Eagletalon. Tearing himself out of the mad rage that threatened to consume him, he looked at her in a new light. She was obviously terrified out of her mind at the sight of him. Pausing to think, he sat back on his haunches.

[Dogsrock!!]

Petalpage poked her head up a little, what was he doing now? Still exteremly wary, she started to slowly back off, trying to take advantage of his distraction.

[Mike]

"Stop." he snapped. "You're not going anywhere until you answer some questions." Eagletalon glared at her. "Lets start again. Why are you in Howling Tribe territory?"

[Dogsrock!!]

She froze, stock still, and whimpering slightly as she gave the wolf a nervous glance. Whipping around, she ran fast as she could, through the trees, back to the tunnel she'd come from, back to her territory. She glanced behind her skittishly, checking to make sure he didn't gain on her.

[Mike]

Eagletalon bunched up his legs and launched himself after her. His long strides started eating up the distance between them, trees flashing by at high speed. Eagletalon grinned. Maybe I'll go easy on her, just for giving me a good run like this he thought, tongue lolling.

[Dogsrock!!]

Squeaking she turned around, breaking out of the forest to the plateau. Searching franticly, she tried to find the hole she came out of. It wasn't there. There was only one thing she could do. Petalpage started franticly trying to scale the cliff, slipping and skidding with each step as she tried to get back to the top. She could still feel the wolves breath on her paws, but every step she made just made it even harder.

[Mike]

Eagletalon launched himself up the cliff, climbing like he was born to it. The adrenaline surged through his veins, giving him even more energy than he normally had. His powerful legs pushed him up faster and faster. He was climbing next to the girl, and now he was above her, cutting off her route.

[snowstorm]

Risingfind made it just in time to watch Eagletalon launch himself onto the cliff and start climbing.
"Eagletalon stop!" she commanded. She watched the cyote having difficulty climbing and it was easy to tell she hadn't ment any harm. She sat down her back straight waiting for Eagletalon to heed her orders.

[Mike]

On hearing her voice, Eagletalon stopped instantly. Moons of obedience led him to obey all her orders instantly, without hesitation or question. He froze, hanging from the cliff. Turning his head, he looked down at her. "Yes?" he called down. "What is it?'

[snowstorm]

"Leave her be." Risingfind said to him kindly and smiling. "I'm sure she ment no harm to us."
She stood waiting for him to join her, she laughed quietly to herself at the way he was positioned on the cliff.

[Mike]

On hearing her voice, Eagletalon stopped instantly. Moons of obedience led him to obey all her orders instantly, without hesitation or question. He froze, hanging from the cliff. Turning his head, he looked down at her. "Yes?" he called down. "What is it?'

[snowstorm]

Risingfind looked up to him and smiled.
"Well wont you come down Eagletalon?" she asked kindly.

[Mike]

"But what about her?" asked Eagletalon. "She was trespassing and won't say why."
