As soon as Raven saw the sign and Alphasmoke leap she was attacking. Ravens teeth were bared as she snarled both at the deer and the effort to get a grip as well. Staying clear of the bucks antlers Raven went for its legs to bring him down. The buck was strong, it Raven would have fought it alone she probably would have been injured but with two wolves the Buck was no match.

Alphasmoke saw Raven attack its hind legs as the dweer bucked. He somehow managed to maintain his grip, holding on tightly with his teeth as he scrabbled his claws on it's side, trying to get on top. It swung it's antlers again and he ducked, right before they smashed his skull. He tried to swing himself up, but failed, almost slipping off as he barely hung on with his claws. It bucked again, allowing him to get a higher grip, before charging at the bushes ahead. He pushed with his front legs, propelling himself at its neck as he tried to bite before it charged away.........

Raven, bit down as hard as she could breaking a bone in the bucks leg. She locked her legs and held the deer. She was yelped and let go when she felt a sharp hoof kick her ribs.
Hurry, she thought as she painfully looked at Alphasmoke.

The buck stumbled from itsleg as Alphasmoke bit through. It let out on final call as it crashed into the bushes, brining Alphasmoke down with it. He let out a small yelp at the weight as it pushed him into the ground. He heaved himself strugglingly from underneath the body, before shaking his pelt and checking on Raven. "Are you hurt?" he asked, checking to see if the kick had injured her.

Raven, panted a moment then shook her head.
"Just a bruise", she said. Looking over at the deer Ravens tail wagged gladly.
"That was really fun", she softly stated.

'Okay," he replied, relieved, padding back tom the bushes. He soon returned, leg gripped in his jaws as he hauled the buck across the ground. He finally dropped it, panting at the effort as he licked his chops. "Hungry?"

Alphasmoke could tell she was tired, and gave the deer a couple more heaves to get it over to her, before practicly collapsing with exahstion. He dug in to the meat, tearing at it as its chewy taste filled his mouth.

Raven, thanked him then began to eat. The warm taste flooded everyone of her senses. When she was finished she sat down and licked her dripping muzzle.

Alphasmoke sighed with relief as energy flooded back into him. He licked the last remaining blood flecks off his face, ruffling his fur. "I guess we should take it back to camp in case Sparky's hungry when he gets backs," he said, getting up with renvigorated energy. A slight flicker of worry passed through his eyes, but he quickly pushed it aside, not wanting to alarm her over anything. Besides, he would come back, he was sure he would.

Raven, nodded. Pacing to the rest of the deer, she carefully took off some of the meat. All the while she did this she briefly wondered about the look in his eyes, she dismissed it.
Probably worried about there wont be enough, she thought.

"Okay," he nodded, picking one of the legs in his jaws. Then I guess I'll take one side, and-" he cut himself off, looking curiously as she tore a piece of the meat out. "Oh," he responded, putting the leg down. He guessed she was still hungry then.

Raven, looked at Alphasmoke sheepishly then explained what she was doing.
"I used to hunt for older wolves and younger pups", she said.
"And its rather a habit now".

"The pups are usually have been weaned but are to small to go to a kill, and well the elder wolves, its respectful, for they work hard in the pack", Raven explained patiently.

"Oh," he replied, switching his tail to the other side. It still seemed crazy to him, but it wasnt like he was a part of it. "Why'd you leave, anyways?" he asked, picking up the deer as he was about to drag it to camp.

Alphasmoke nodded, not saying anything more on the subject as he started on the long task of dragging the animal back. He could tell she was lying by the way she acted, but some canines took a while before they felt safe talking about that kind of stuff.

Alphasmoke pulled and heaved, until finally he plopped down panting in the camp, sniffing the air hopefully. Still no sign of him. He sighed, disappointment waving off his pelt. Sparky must have just been on a long adventure, and gotten lost in the woods................. he would come back, he had too.
