[glow=green,7,300]In General[/glow] [glow=green,7,300] T.R.I.B.E.S [/glow] tribal positionsLeader: the one leading the Tribe. is responsible for the Tribe's actions and well-being, even if an action was not committed by the leader. is given an extra chance by the Tribe of Life -if it is decided that they should receive it- to lead the Tribe until they perish the second time. Their name suffix is changed to "find". Adviser: the adviser is a very high position. chosen by the leader, their job is to substitute for the leader if for any reason they would be unable to rule temporarily. they also give advice to the leader, and are behind many of the leader's decisions. Seer: though not the leader, the seer is one of the most highly regarded positions in the Tribe. they have knowledge of herbs and such in the territories, and help sick or wounded animals in the Tribe. they are the Tribe's speaker to the Tribe of Life, as they are the only ones who can translate their messages. though they have normal Tribe names, their formal name suffix is "seer". Seer Page: the seer page is chosen by the Tribe of Life, and the decision is "sent" to the seer. a seer page is only given when a seer is nearing the end of their career, and they need to train another in their ways. they are the only Tribe member who's name has the name suffix "page". Knight: this is the position of most adults in the Tribe. they are responsible for feeding and protecting their Tribe, and are often expected to give their life for the Tribe if the time so comes. it is an individual knight's responsibility to hunt and check the territory boundaries daily. knights make up the majority of the Tribe. they have normal Tribe names. Pages: pages are cubs training to become knights. cubs become pages around 2-3 moons old. they are trained by the whole Tribe, and will be knighted when recommended by enough warriors. they keep their cub name suffix, but are rarely referred to with the suffix "page", usually out of strong pride, admiration, or respect. Cubs: cubs are the young ones of the Tribe. they are mostly with their mother or in camp, and usually don't wander off in the territory. their name suffix is "cub". more on tribes- if the Tribe leader is dying and the Tribe of Life finds them worthy, the leader will recieve one extra "chance", or life, so that they can continue to lead their tribe.
- a page's knighting is always done on a full moon.
- when a head knight becomes leader, they MUST choose a new head knight as soon as possible.
- an exiled Tribe member's markings will eventually fade away, though they might retain one or two markings
- Tribe markings turn silver when the Tribe member dies. the color change takes anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes.
- very rarely, if a loner has a Tribe parent, the loner will have a marking of some sort.
- if a leader has pups, the advisor will take over the position until the pups are weaned.
[glow=green,7,300] O.T.H.E.R. [/glow] softiessofties are animals that live with twolegs in their twoleg caves. these are mostly dogs, though rarely you might see a fox or wolf dog. twolegs make them wear straps around their necks with stones hanging from them. softies are usually very loyal to their twolegs. strays and lonersloners are animals that live in the wild, usually by themselves or with their family. some have territories while others perfer to wander from place to place. a stray is a loner dog. animal speakTribe animals can understand wolves, badgers, foxes, and coyotes. an average wolf can understand a coyote and a dog. same with dogs and coyotes. an average badger can understand an average beaver, and vice versa. Tribe animals can understand beavers too, but the translation is rough, like someone speaking english to you in a heavy foreign accent. the average wolf, coyote, or dog CANNOT, however, understand a fox, because the ancestry is too far apart.
