This is to help explain differences between character types and how to RP them.
Foxes generally eat just about anything, from rodents and berries to reptiles and deer. They don't have strong eyesight, but can see in the dark and have excellent hearing and strong legs. They catch prey by jumping or chasing after it. Their fur can be orange, red, white, silver, and black. All foxes must have a white tail tip, and the red and orange need either black paws, ears, ear tips, or tail tips. White foxes have no other natural coloring, and all foxes have a black nose.
I will not require the appropriate eye colors, as long as no one starts giving their pet demon eyes.
Wolves have strong bodies, ideal for travel, as well as paws that generally suit most terrains. Their fur is just about any color, but there aren't any molted ones. Their fur grows lighter the older they get. They eat large animals most of the time, like moose, sheep, goats, pigs, deer, boar, antelope, caribou, seals, and others. They will also eat small mammals and birds. They will hide and wait for their prey to become distracted, before attacking as a pack or one. They will also not chase prey alot, turning around if it runs too far.
Badgers eat rodents, including gophers and others similars, insects, birds, porcupines, snakes, berries, roots, and honey. They catch prey by digging tunnels, climbing trees, and fighting with claws. They have huge, powerful claws, and strong legs allowing them to run fast for short periods of time. They are always black with white stripes, any other colors is from someone spilling housepaint on them.
Dogs do not usually hunt their own prey, but on the rare occasions they do, they use their teeth to bite down on the throat. They will eat almost anything you give them. They come in a variety of shapes and colors, some being more powerful than others. They have an excellent hearing and smelling ability, though not quite as strong as a wolf's.
Cats will hunt birds, mice, rabbits, and other small rodents, using their claws and teeth. They also come in a variety of shapes and colors, bot are generally around the same size range.
Beavers eat water lilys, berries, and fish. They have long teeth for chewing, and a flat brown tail, which helps them swim. They slap it on the water to warn other beavers of danger. They generally catch food with their paws. All beaver fur is in some shade of brown.
Coyotes are generally a grayish brown to a yellowish gray color, with white, red, and tawny mixed in. They have good hearing, good smel, and are fast runners. They mainly eat small mammals, but will eat larger ones, insects, birds, reptiles, and most kinds of vegetation. They also eat large amounts of carrion, although it is not their perferred type. They hunt small mammals by stalking, and larger ones by group chasing.
