Risingfind started to laugh but was caught short. She looked at Eagletalon fear in her eyes.
"Eagletalon." she gasped. "I think," she began then took a deep breathe. "I think their coming!" she said

Eagletalon's eyes widened. "You mean right now?" he asked apprehensively. They were too far away for him to run for Stareyes.

"You'll be okay." he said, casting about. Finding a likely-looking branch, he picked it up and carried it to her. "Put this between your teeth so you don't bite your tongue."

Risingfind did as he told her to do then she got scared. She had never given birth, nor seen it. She didn't know what to do but the pain in her stomach told her she needed to hurry and figure it out.

Eagletalon was utterly lost. Besides that, he knew absolutely nothing. He just sat there and stared at her, completely bewildered about what to do next.

Risingfind clued into the fact that she had to push, one way or another she was going to make sure her pups were safe and healthy. She used all her strength to deliver them without a problem.
Roughly an hour later she cleaned off the two pups.
"Eagletalon." she said quietly looking at him and smiling.

Eagletalon looked on the pups. They were his. He named them according to the tradition of the Howling tribe, then smiled. "And may you grow to be great knights."
